It’s another beautiful morning in Liverpool, and that means one thing – it’s time to gather some friends together to devour brunch in Liverpool!
Here are all the best Liverpool breakfast and brunch options in one big guide.
Every brunch I’ve ever had in Liverpool has been top-notch – and that’s really saying something. It’s hard to find a bad breakfast in Liverpool!
After countless trips to the city, I’ve cobbled together this list of my favourite brunch and breakfast spots in Liverpool city centre.
A good chunk of them have been tried and tested by yours truly, but, obviously, it would be quite a big ask for me to try every single brunch spot in the city.
For this reason, I’ve filled in the blanks with recommendations from my friends, locals, and a few that seem to be constantly flooding my social media and have tons of positive reviews. The result is this blog post!
Read on for my guide to the best breakfast and brunch options in Liverpool.

Best Brunch & Breakfast in Liverpool
1. Moose Coffee
This is my absolute favourite place to get brunch in Liverpool and, luckily for us, there are a few different locations scattered across the city. It’s also down the road from my favourite tapas restaurant in Liverpool, so this is quite a foodie area of town!
This American and Canadian-inspired independent chain serves up some of the most delicious brunch and breakfast dishes in the city – all with that North American twist.
The menu at Moose is absolutely massive, so I recommend checking it out in advance so that you don’t have to make a rushed decision!
The coffee here is good but nothing spectacular, in my opinion. What you come here for is the food.
My absolute favourite is the Green Line – a potato hash fried with garlic, mustard, artichokes, peppers, chopped jalapeños, cherry tomatoes, and, the best bit – grilled halloumi, topped with two eggs.
Oh my lord, it’s so good!
Of course, they also have a whole host of pancakes, french toast, milkshakes and more – everything you’d expect from an American diner-style breakfast.
If in doubt, head to Moose Coffee for the best brunch in Liverpool. You won’t be disappointed!
2. Lucy in the Sky Cafe
This family-run cafe has been open for over 20 years – originally setting up shop in Cavern Walks and run by the current owners’ mum until it changed location, and passed on to the daughter, a few years back.
The decor inside is so bright, fresh and girly, and the service has that fabulous scouse touch – the team will do whatever they can to accommodate you.
At Lucy in the Sky, you’ll find all the classic Liverpool breakfast options like the fry up, Eggs Benedict, bagels, avocado on toast… you get the picture.
The brunch dishes are solid – I had the Eggs Benedict, which was yummy, and Rob had the Club Sandwich, which was absolutely massive!
This is one of my favourite places to get brunch in Liverpool City Centre – you really get those family-run vibes and can feel the love the owner puts into the cafe. It’s very family-friendly. Plus, it feels great to support a local business.
3. Bold Street Coffee
Bold Street Coffee is a tiny coffee chain with branches in Liverpool and Manchester that first started on… you guessed it… Liverpool’s very own Bold Street.
This is one of the best places for brunch in Liverpool if kick-ass coffee is the most important part of the meal for you. This is what they’re most beloved for, and the coffee really is worth the hype.
We can’t overlook the food, though. They’re most famous for their “buoys” – a toasted brioche bun stuffed with scrambled eggs and oozy melted cheese, and then you just add whatever you want on top to build a huge stuffed brioche!
Looking for something a little less adventurous? No worries – they also serve up all of the brekkie classics like bacon butties, scrambled eggs on toast, creamy mushrooms on toast, pancakes, and the charmingly-British beans on toast.
If you’re on a health kick and looking for a healthy breakfast in Liverpool, look no further: Bold Street Coffee serves a carb-free breakfast, perfect for the protein lords amongst us. 😉💪
4. Pippin’s Corner
If you’ve spent any amount of time on this blog already, you probably know that I hype Lark Lane a lot for foodies. It’s home to some of the best restaurants in the city, and Pippin’s Corner is no exception.
This is where to go for all day breakfast in Liverpool, because they serve it, yup – all day. Perfect if you’re recovering from a big night out or just fancied a lie in.
I’m gonna be honest – if you’re visiting on a Saturday or Sunday morning, be prepared to wait for a table, but the staff are always pretty realistic about how long your wait will be.
This place frequently features on lists of the best vegetarian places to eat breakfast in Liverpool thanks to their “Veggie breakfast” – a veggie take on the Liverpool fry up.
Of course, for the carnivores amongst us, there are also plenty of options.
Their bacon pancakes go down a storm, and their “anything on toast” option is another hit – especially when people find out that gluten-free toast is on the menu!
5. Leaf
This former 1920s tearoom is one of the most unique brunch restaurants in Liverpool. What’s more, Leaf serves brunch every day, so you can grab brunch with friends here even if it’s midweek.
Pet parents, you’re in luck – dogs are welcome at Leaf’s outdoor tables.
Their breakfast and brunch menu is pretty huge, covering sweet treats like winter spiced porridge oats and cinnamon rolls, as well as classic avocado-related brunch dishes.
There’s even a section of the menu for “unusual” brunch dishes like huevos rotos (Mexican breakfast) or Turkish eggs. Yum!
Of course, the full English is always a solid option – especially here, where it gets rave reviews. Vegans rejoice – their “full vegan breakfast” is definitely a strong contender for the title of best vegan breakfast in Liverpool.
I mean… when it consists of homemade falafel sausages, sliced avocado, herby grilled mushroom, roasted vine tomato, baked beans, home fries, and grilled sourdough, there’s really no way to argue otherwise!
6. Lu Ban Restaurant
Chinese bottomless brunch in Liverpool???
Yes, it exists, and you can find it at Lu Ban, located right next to the Baltic Market!
The offering here is different, that’s for sure, but once you try it there’s no going back. After all, there’s only so many times you can eat avocado toast, right?
For 90 minutes, you’ll get to enjoy one of the best bottomless brunches in Liverpool, complete with unlimited cocktails, beer, wine and prosecco and a whole host of Chinese small plates including noodles, dumplings, rice and stir-fried vegetables.
Sounds good!
Oh, and they can cater to any dietary requirements if you contact them in advance.
One thing I will note is that quite a few reviewers have commented that the food menu is far more limited than other bottomless brunches in Liverpool city centre.
I guess that makes sense, because they’re sticking to just Chinese-style dishes rather than pulling brunch dishes from all over the place, but it might be worth bearing in mind if you’re a picky eater or like a lot of variety.
7. Mother Espresso
Mother Espresso is the cool hipster brunch spot in Liverpool you can’t miss if you take your coffee seriously.
They do that fancy thing where you order your coffee by the ounce, so you know it’s gonna be good. They also have fancy schmancy options like v60 pour-over, cold brew and Nitro coffee. Wow!
Okay, let’s stop crushing on the coffee and move on to the food. This place stands out thanks to having one of the most options for vegan brunch in Liverpool.
We’re talking oat milk porridge, granola bowls, and their ever-popular vegan breakfast.
Of course, they also cover meat and fish options – smoked salmon bagels, Reuben sandwiches, eggs benedicts, and even breakfast burgers.
Somewhat of a rarity in Liverpool, this place is also a good space to visit with your laptop to get some work done.
I’ve really struggled to find indie cafes and coffee shops in Liverpool with enough space to do this, so Mother Espresso gets a big thumbs up from me!
8. The Brink
For a cheap breakfast in Liverpool, you can’t go wrong with The Brink.
This community cafe is all about helping the community by raising money to help those battling addiction, so, not only do you get to devour a brilliant breakfast on the cheap, but you’ll also be doing a good deed at the same time.
Coming in at £5.99, their full English breakfast has got to be one of the cheapest in Liverpool. Bacon on toast costs just £3.50!
The Brink gets rave reviews for its huge portions and lovely, welcoming staff – something that comes as no surprise in Liverpool, where it feels like a fact that pretty much everybody is friendly.
It’s worth noting that The Brink is a dry bar. They have a range of mocktails, but absolutely no alcohol is served here since it’s designed to be a safe space for those in recovery.
For this reason, if you’re looking for a boozy brunch in Liverpool, you won’t find it at The Brink.
Bottomless Brunch in Liverpool
9. The Brunch & Cocktail Club
It makes sense that somewhere with the name “The Brunch & Cocktail Club” is gonna serve up a killer bottomless brunch in Liverpool.
They serve normal food every day of the week, but if it’s the bottomless brunch you’re after, head here for 3pm on a Saturday.
You’ll be rewarded with two full hours of prosecco, Aperol Spritzes, mimosas, strawberry or peach bellinis, wine, beer and cider, and the brunch pick of your choice!
This isn’t just any old bottomless brunch, though – it’s actually four inventive courses.
There’s a regular version and a vegan version, and lots of fun and unique dishes like loaded rostis with beetroot, spinach and tomato pesto or chocolate brownie pancake with chocolate sauce and biscoff crumble.
At £40 for the experience, the price is right, the vibe is right, and the menu is oh-so-right! Compared to the prices for bottomless brunch in London, where I live, it’s crazy how affordable Liverpool is!
10. Neighbourhood Liverpool
One of the most popular bottomless brunch places in Liverpool is Neighbourhood, which offers 90 minutes of unlimited prosecco, gin, vodka, rum, seasonal cocktails and beers, as well as a brunch dish, for just £38
This is one of the top bottomless brunch venues for a hen party since they’re very willing to accommodate large groups.
It’s also one of the most boujee bottomless brunch spots in Liverpool thanks to its fancy brunch options like flat iron steak and fancy burgers!
The service here, in particular, gets rave reviews, with visitors saying that their drinks were never empty and the staff were accommodating of special requests.
11. Castle St Townhouse
Keep it simple with an unlimited beer and prosecco brunch in Liverpool – there’s no need to decide between seemingly endless drink options here!
As well as being home to one of Liverpool’s best Sunday roasts, the Castle St Townhouse is also home to a great bottomless brunch offering on weekends.
Menu standouts are their truffle fries and smashed avocado on toast, and your drinks will never be empty.
Their bottomless brunch deal costs £38 and includes a small plate, a side dish, and unlimited beer or prosecco for 90 minutes.
If you’re visiting in a large group, you’re able to pre-order your food so that you’re not racing against the clock.
This place is on the same street as one of my favourite Liverpool apartment hotels, so if you end up stopping there, you’ll only need to roll out of bed to get to brunch on time!
12. Ma Boyle’s Alehouse & Tavern
Want to get the party started on a Wednesday? Then head on over to Ma Boyles, which serves weekday bottomless brunch in Liverpool as well as the classic weekend option.
As well as a dish from their tasty brunch menu, you’ll also get to enjoy free-flowing prosecco, as well as cocktails like Bellinis and Aperol Spritzes, and cider and beer.
This is your top option for midweek bottomless brunch in Liverpool since it’s available seven days a week!
Full English breakfasts (vegan, veggie and non-veggie) are complemented on the menu with three different pancake options, bacon butties, brioches, avocado toast and eggs benedict.
It’s a simple menu, but it caters to everybody, with loads of options for vegans and vegetarians.
13. Tonight Josephine Liverpool
There’s no better way to kick off a hen do, girls’ weekend, or, heck, any old weekend, than with a drag brunch in Liverpool, and, at Tonight Josephine, that’s exactly what you’ll find!
Book your group a huge party apartment for the weekend, head out on a night out, and then jump straight into activities the next day by starting it with a boozy drag brunch.
You’ll need to book brunch at Tonight Josephine in advance, so be sure to do so so that you don’t miss out.
90 minutes of bottomless cocktails and bubbles await as your fabulous drag queen host kicks off your drag bingo tournament.
Let’s be real – this is far more about laughing as hard as you can and drinking as much as you can, rather than having a fancy brunch, but the food isn’t half bad all things considered!
Conclusion/Final Thoughts: Liverpool Brunch
As you can see, Liverpool has an amazing brunch scene!
Whether you’re looking for a croissant and coffee, a boozy brunch, or a classic avocado toast with a flat white, you’ll find it in Liverpool.
If you only have one day in Liverpool, and can only visit one of these spots, I recommend Moose Coffee – it’s my favourite spot for breakfast in Liverpool (even though the competition is fierce!).
